Translated as colour in Persian, this Afghan cupboard is my latest creative expression!

I wanted to paint it but in a way that would still feel authentic and complimentary to its history. The doors are from an old church in Afghanistan. They are extremely heavy and beautifully made. There’s wood, metal and leather...all of which would have been handmade a very long time ago. I have used a whole host of @anniesloanhome colours to blend with Graphite and black wax for the frame. There is still lots of wood showing and I chose to leave the inside completely untouched to retain more character.
