PAINT
Whilst I take every measure to ensure that pieces are prepared and the paint is applied carefully, it is worth noting that this is painted furniture and care must be taken to keep it looking its best. Every piece is either waxed or lacquered depending on its anticipated function. However, I am unable to accept returns on any furniture that is chipped after delivery. Some pieces are designed to have a ‘chippy’ aesthetic and therefore just get better with age and wear and tear. The more pristine pieces, with minimal or no distressing, are usually lacquered to provide a stronger finish.
WOOD
I work with many different types of wood of varying ages. Most of the furniture I choose to up-cycle and restyle is full of character and I make minimal effort to take this character away…within reason! The imperfections are what give my pieces soul. However, I’m not going to sell you a cabinet with a door hanging off! It is worth noting, though, that most of the furniture is old and therefore it is natural to expect some signs of this in the piece you buy. I check every piece for woodworm and if I am in any doubt whatsoever I treat the piece before painting to ensure that this is totally eliminated before selling.
RETURNS
I appreciate that despite falling in love with a piece, it might just not work in your home setting as planned. Therefore, I offer a returns package that will enable you to return the piece and receive credit for the same amount to put towards another piece or commission a new project. Please note that this excludes courier fees and the return of the furniture must be arranged by you. I am unable to accept returns on any furniture or offer refunds unless a piece is damaged. In the unfortunate situation where this might be the case, please be in touch to discuss options.
DELIVERY
Free delivery in North Somerset, Bristol and the general area. Please be in touch if you would like to discuss this option. I am able to contact couriers to arrange shipment of your order and payment for this will be invoiced to you in addition to your purchase. You are welcome to collect your order from my home address in Portishead. Once posted and in transit to you, it is the courier’s responsibility to deliver your order safely and on time. I try my upmost to resolve any issues straight away so please be in touch if you have any problems. For INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING I am very happy to calculate postage costs for you. Please email dogheaddesigns@hotmail.com or use the contact function on the website to send the item details and postal address. I am unable to take responsibility for Custom Fee charges if applicable; please research if these charges apply to your country before placing your order as it is your responsibility to pay them. Considering the size of the products, it is essential that you contact me to discuss delivery/collection options at your earliest convenience. I work 7 days a week and so I am always on the end of the phone or contactable via email and social media.
PURCHASING
By agreeing to the Terms and Conditions you the customer are confirming that you are 18 years old or over, otherwise you will have permission from your parents. All products remain the property of Doghead Designs until payment is received. The price applicable is that set at the date on which you place your order. All major credit and debit cards are accepted (Visa, Mastercard & American Express) through Stripe, a secure payment system. Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of certification. All payments are extremely secure through Stripe. No sensitive payment information is stored. Products are priced fairly based on a variety of factors. I reserve the right to change pricing at anytime without notice. There are often discount codes and special events that are promoted through social media so be sure to keep an eye out for these. Pieces are photographed to show them off in the best possible light with the intention of showing them as a true representation of themselves. It is possible that colours may vary ever so slightly to the ones you see on your screen.
