This vintage cupboard has been painted in three colours: Barcelona Orange, Capri Pink and Amsterdam Green. My take on the piece was one inspired by Moroccan and Indian colours: rich, velvety, complementary yet clashing. I explored symmetry within the colour palette by using an inverse design. The piece is painted inside and out (as well as underneath and at the back) to ensure that the colours flow. It is a solid oak piece. It has been sealed with a matt lacquer for durability and protection.
